Thousands of kilometers

It all began with the flight to the Easter Island. 6 hours in the plane are not worth mentioning. Especially not, when the GPS of the plane shows 3823 km from Santiago to the Easter Island.

After our arrival we had one week to explore the island. On the first evening we saw the american movie 'Rapa Nui' (thats the local name of the island). That was a perfect start of the week, especially because we saw the movie at the original location. We explored the island in only 5 days. Good luck for us, because we had perfect weather conditions. The last two days, it was raining, but we have seen 'everything' before.
Great parts of the island can be explored by foot, starting at the only small town on the island, Hanga Roa. In 4 days we made about 60 km by foot - don't ask about the feet in the evening. For making another 80 km and see the rest of the island, we rented a scooter. But suddenly, the marvelous week was over and had to go back into the winter in Santiago.

From now on everything went on very fast. Another day in Santiago, a good dinner, wash all the clothes, buy the bus tickets and again to the cinema. The next day we went back to Mendoza. And we saw that there was almost no snow. So we skipped the skiing trip and bought a onward ticket to Córdoba for the next day. In Mendoza we went into an already known hotel, had another perfect dinner and went on to Córdoba.
Córdoba, again, is such a city, which you can skip without missing anything. But because of a world championship soccer game of Germany and because of the heavy bus trips before we rested in Córdoba for a few days. By the way: the internet reports are a lot of work to do, too.
But then ... we went on to Buenos Aires. 11 hours in the bus and we arrived in this city, we were waiting for so many months.
